River Ritual: Yoga and Sauna

Sellwood Yoga and Guss come together for time spent moving, breathing, and igniting the soul. Through breath-led, intentional movement, we build warmth, presence, and internal heat, preparing the body for rest, ritual, and sauna.

Location and Event:

  • Part 1: Vinyasa Flow at Sellwood Yoga with Kari Kemper

  • Part 2: Sauna and Optional River Plunge at Sellwood Riverfront Park

This collaborative event starts at Sellwood Yoga with a Vinyasa Flow Yoga practice, followed by a group sauna (Guss mobile sauna) and river plunge at Sellwood Riverfront Park. The sauna location is less than a mile away from the studio, a 3-minute drive or a short walk.

All levels welcome.

Flow. Pause. Restore.

Take two hours to flow, pause and restore. Move with awareness and alignment, sit in stillness, and rest deeply as you create space for balance and renewal.

Begin with 60 minutes of vinyasa flow, a steady, breath-led practice using fluid movement to build warmth and strength. You’ll be guided through accessible sequences that cultivate a sense of rhythm and ease.

Next, sit for 15 minutes of guided meditation, turning inward to settle the mind and expand awareness.

Finally, rest in 45 minutes of restorative yoga, supported by props to invite complete release and integration.

Leave feeling clear, grounded, and deeply nourished. Experience a complete practice for body, mind, and spirit.
